Building #2: 19,000 sq. ft.
Overview
When Midwestern Wyoming, Inc. made the decision to expand to Cheyenne, we helped them build a leading-edge pipe-coating facility comprised of office space and a welding shop stretching out over more than 90,000 square feet. The location was the first to break ground in Cheyenne’s Swan Ranch and provided an ideal location for rail spur access.
Challenge
Every project requires a few tweaks here and there, but multiple design revisions during our work with Midwestern Wyoming, Inc. resulted in one of our most challenging – and rewarding – jobs to date. In addition to balancing these changes with ongoing construction, we were also tasked with meeting a hard deadline necessitated by the shipping of piping equipment that was arriving from California on a parallel timeline.
Solution
Utilizing a team of experienced subcontractors who effectively handled changes to the design as they happened meant we could continue building without significant delays or work stoppages. In addition to design/build, excavation, utilities, and general construction services, we also mobilized our fleet of trucks to handle the transportation of the piping equipment from California to Wyoming.
Outcome
A job done well, thanks to the seamless integration of multiple Redco service lines. This remarkable facility is one of the largest pre-engineered metal buildings that we’ve worked on, and delivers on our commitment to always challenge ourselves as a means of improving the services we offer our clients.
