Overview
Building a facility that houses two 15-ton bridge cranes is no light task.
If you’re a gas turbine consulting firm that specializes in the inspection and maintenance of jet turbine engines, there’s no room for error when it comes to constructing a facility that meets your highly-unique needs. So, Reed Services turned to Redco to build a new facility to house their bridge cranes used during the maintenance and shipping processes.
Challenge
Given the particular nature of Reed’s work, we were tasked with designing and building a space that would allow semi-trucks to drive through while balancing the need for two 15-ton bridge cranes to operate within four feet of each other.
Solution
We researched the details of Reed’s work and processes, down to the turning radius for each and every truck and crane that would be used. We collaborated with civil and structural engineers to create a structure that would provide maximum functionality and efficiency.
Outcome
By integrating and deploying varying services like design, build, excavation, and utilities, we ensured that Reed Services has a top-flight facility that allows them to perform leading-edge work.
